Here is a bit of what we've all been up to these last few weeks!
Both kids remain in love with this particular window in the hallway at church. At least one of them wants to pose by it every week!
We made a bunch of trips to Dorney Park for their Halloween "Boo Blast" celebration for kids. Daniel made huge progress in his willingness to get on the rides and really started to love them!
Katherine made a new orange owl at Build-a-Bear Workshop.

Ta-da! Katherine named her "Owlee". She fits right in with her tiger named Tiger, flamingo named Flamingo, and abominable snowman named Yeti.
Mickey Mouse came to Perkins for kids night. Didn't look a thing like the one from Disneyworld - more like Mickey meets Michael Jackson - but the kids loved him.
Katherine met Mother Goose at Dorney. The Halloween additions to the park were a huge hit. Characters, rides, AND a huge bag of Mike and Ikes from trick-or-treating!
Katherine has 4's storytime at the library on Tuesdays. There are about 8 kids in her group normally, and 3 of them including her are little strawberry blonde girls - crazy!

I bought a pack of Thomas trains that are unfinished, got out my paints for Katherine, and let her go to town. She just loves anything crafty!
Two-year-olds get into EVERYthing!
Katherine got her face painted as Spidergirl at Perkins.
Daniel worked on perfecting his Angry Birds game while we waited for our food. We don't know how, but there is a level on there where his score is so high, Brendan can't even come close to beating him!
Katherine had to miss school one day because of being sick. Daniel was okay to go, so Kat and I stayed home and did some crafts. One was a footprint witch for Halloween.
Our last trip to Dorney Park for the season began with more candy from Trick-or-Treat Street.
Katherine had been asking to do this hammer game every time she saw it, so we let her do it on our last visit.
Lucky for her it was a "play until you win" game! She chose Rosy, a character from the Sonic games.
Katherine's class had a trip to Savidge Farms pumpkin patch. We rode a hay ride out to a barn where the kids watched a quick movie about growing pumpkins, then continued on to the pumpkin patch where each kid got to choose their own pumpkin.
After the pumpkin picking and hayride, the kids climbed around on hay bales and a big tractor.
Daniel was all over the place, so this corn box was perfect - fun but contained!
Katherine's friends Emma and Sadie buried her in the corn. I think I'm still finding pieces of corn around!
Katherine chose her Rapunzel dress for her school "Fantasy Day" when the kids were supposed to dress as princesses, princes, and knights.
We took a spontaneous trip to Dunkin Donuts for an afternoon snack. Kat chose a donut with sprinkles, and Daniel picked the double chocolate one. He loves "choc-choc"! As she dug into her donut, Katherine told me, "This is the best day EVER!" :)
Our friends down the street got a new Cavalier King Charles spaniel puppy named Emily. She's just adorable and sweet as can be and Katherine loves her!
We had a nice visit with our favorite Alaskans. Katherine kept asking if it was time to go see Aunt Nancy yet and Daniel asked for "Antsy".
Kate brought her new cutie, Gala, down from Connecticut to visit. Katherine loved her!
Going to sleep with backward pajamas make it snow at our house. Who would have thought we'd have snow before Halloween!
The flakes started falling while we were still in PJs, right after breakfast.
Katherine went outside to catch snowflakes on her tongue.
It didn't take long before the patio looked like this. We got a good 6", maybe more, of very wet heavy snow.
We built two huge snowmen and barely touched the amount in our yard.
The freak October snowstorm was much more fun when we had power in the house. We lost power right after naps. Fortunately we were set for dinner, I had already had a crockpot of chili cooking all day. We double-pajama'ed the kids for bedtime in anticipation of a cold night, then tried to figure out ways to save our fish. Just as were gave up on that and headed upstairs for bed ourselves, the power came back on. People were literally cheering in the street! We were only without power for six hours and consider ourselves so lucky as many of our friends were without it for days.
The sun came out the next day and we headed outside to play in the snow. D absolutely hated the snow last year but he seems to have really warmed up to it now!
Happy Halloween! Or "Hoppaweeeeen!" in Daniel-ese. He gave each house a very enthusiastic "hoppaweeeeen!" after he got candy. D dressed up as Mario and Katherine was Rapunzel. They had a blast trick-or-treating in our neighborhood.
We stopped to visit little puppy Emily as our last house, the highlight of the kids' night.
