July 4

We celebrated the 4th with some nice family time.  LOVE the extra weekend day together!  We had a little time at the pool.

 

 Katherine took the chipmunk that Grandpa trapped over to the Pool Wildlife Sanctuary and released him.  She's confident that he's happily living among his new chipmunk friends there now.

 While Katherine was playing animal rescuer, Daniel was being a boy.   Dirt and sticks!  He's a magnet for mud. 

 After naps we headed over to Nana and Poppop's house for some burgers and dogs.  Katherine and Belle played bean bags together.

 Then both kids took a run with Grandpa.

 Hungry Hungry Hippo!  Katherine picked the yellow hippo (of course!) and lucky for her, it was the only one that seemed to be functioning properly.

 How much is that doggy flying through the window?

 Grandpa provided us with a fun fireworks display.  They had bought some nice fireworks when in South Carolina - silly PA laws don't let us buy the good stuff that leaves the ground.

 Daniel LOVED the fireworks!  He was entertained by seeing Grandpa run away after lighting each thing and cracked up every time.
