TGIF!  We had another day of fun.  We started the day with a playdate at Katherine's friend Brooke's house.  Katherine, Brooke, and their other friend Bella all LOVE to do crafts.  Give Kat some glue, paint, and/or glitter and she's happily occupied for quite a while!  Brooke's mom planned a couple crafts for the girls to do, which they all really enjoyed.  Daniel was content to push Brooke's shopping cart for much of the time we were there, with a little time in the kitchen and with basement toys.

 

 

 

 

I anticipated decent naps from both of them after such a fun morning.  Daniel came through with a two hour nap, but Katherine ... not so much.  She was talking and singing and having what sounded like a good ol time in her bed for an hour or so when I finally asked her if she was going to nap or if she wanted to skip it and go to bed early.  She wanted to get up and requested a Scooby Doo show to watch.  After 45 minutes on the couch, she snuggled up to Inky using his tushy as a pillow while Inky used her pillow pet, and this is what happened:

The funniest part was that Inky woke up after about 20 minutes of being a pillow and hopped down.  It didn't phase Katherine.

Nana and Poppop invited us to their house for dinner, so we headed there as soon as Brendan got home from work.  The meal was delicious and the kids had so much fun playing.  Daniel can consume impressive quantities of meatloaf and carrots, and Katherine was loving the mashed potatoes and kept asking for more.
Daniel must have climbed in and out of this chair 50 times.  He would climb up and say "sit!" (which sounds like he's cursing), then get right back down and repeat. 

This antique ring stacker was a hit too.
